The Lucky Hit Top Shelf Box: The Lucky Hit is a place on the farm where something special happened. Unfortunately, just exactly what happened has been long forgotten but we can only imagine it involved either a bullet or a golf ball.

Fortunately we do know why you’ll be lucky to hit the Top Shelf Box, as it will contain only the finest cuts that we have available when we make your box. In a pack of at between 3.5kg and 4kg (4-6 meals), depending on value of cuts available. This is likely to include a mix of any of the following:

• Primal beef steaks such as eye fillet and ribeye,
• Lamb fillet,
• Lamb backstraps (fat cap on or trimmed)
• Lamb rack (fat cap on or trimmed) or cutlets,
• or any other fancy stuff that Georgie comes up with.

Available either as a mixed box of Beef and Lamb, Beef only, or Lamb only – choose the option below. Also you can choose if you want the fat cap left on the lamb rack and backstrap – some prefer to cook with the fat on for the flavour and protection that this gives the meat while cooking, and remove it after cooking, while others prefer to cook these cuts already trimmed lean. We don’t charge any more for this fat, your box will just be slightly heavier (the fat-on cuts are slightly cheaper to compensate).

We try and supply meat chilled but sometimes some or all of it will be frozen depending on our stock levels.

How our Meat Boxes work:

We currently pack and deliver our meat boxes approximately every two weeks – we try and keep the next expected delivery date updated on the homepage of our website. We’ll contact you by phone or email a couple of days before we’re due to deliver. If you’re not home when we deliver your box we’ll leave it with an ice-pack to keep it happy. We don’t guarantee exactly what you’ll get in your box because that’s logistically difficult on a small scale, but instead pack them according to the style of box selected, ensuring a good mix of cuts in each box. Our cuts are supplied chilled or frozen and vacuum packed in portions of around 500g each, except for roasts and corned beef which are more like 1-1.5kg.
